On the basis of Purpose, there are two types of computers, the following is a brief description.
1. General Purpose Computer: -सामान्य उद्देशीय कंप्यूटर
All the electronic gadgets that we do. To make your daily work easy whether it is mobile or laptop or you also use the watch. So all these gadgets that help us in our daily rituals Is called general purpose computer.
Common tasks like preparing documents (file), printing them, creating database, and preparing letters by word process etc. are done by them. SIMILARLLY IN OTHER WAY
The computers we use today are almost all General Purpose Computer. You are reading this lesson on a general purpose computer and we have also prepared this lesson on a general purpose computer. A general purpose computer is a computer that has the capability to perform many activities. You can write research papers by this, you can prepare the budget of your home, office, business sales chart etc. can be done by a single machine. Desktop, Notebooks etc. are all general purpose computers.
2. Special Purpose computer:-विशिष्ट उद्देशीय कंप्यूटर
Such computers which are used only for a particular work. All these computers are under Special Purpose computer.
They are used for special purposes in research in space science, meteorology, traffic control, agricultural engineering, and chemical sciences.
For this, the CPU used in it is high, due to which the specific purpose is served. SIMILALLY IN OTHER WAY
As the name suggests, these types of computers are developed to do a particular task. Their task is to perform only one type of work. Such as transport control, weather forecasting etc. These types of computers are faster than general purpose computers. However, these computers cannot perform different types of tasks like a general purpose computer.
